Hard-fought draw at the Heliodoro to secure one more point

The Azulgranas drew (0-0) against CD Tenerife, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches, seven of those with a clean sheet

SD Huesca didn't produce their brightest performance aginst CD Tenerife, but remained effective. It was indeed a challenging match for the Oscenses, who continued to improve their stats. With eight matches unbeaten, seven clean sheets and one less match to overcome, they are inching closer to their much-awaited objective.

At the beginning, Hidalgo's side had to suffer until they found their footing in the game. It wasn't until the 15th that they began to gain ground. Hugo Vallejo, the main offensive threat this time, executed then a brilliant individual play on the left flank, driving towards the by-line and then into the penalty area in search of a cross for Obeng or Valentin, which was eventually cleared by the defence. The game was even, but Tenerife continued to press, making it difficult for SD Huesca to build up from the defence. A corner kick delivered by Vilarrasa into the heart of the six-yard box, which no one managed to connect cleanly with, marked the end of the first half, still goalless.

The second half began with a clear warning from the hosts, as Enric Gallego's header narrowly missed the post from a right-sided cross. The Canarian team started stronger again, while Huesca relied on counterattacks, albeit somewhat imprecisely. In the 57th, they seemed to reap the reward of a goal from one such counter, but the play was ruled out for a tight offside. Despite this setback, the chance spurred on the Azulgranas, who began to threaten more dangerously. Only five minutes later, Pulido had his opportunity in front of Soriano, catching a rebound after a corner. Hidalgo made changes, bringing on Jeremy Blasco for Iván Martos and Enzo Lombardo for Iker Kortajarena. Alvaro Fernandez then showcased his goalkeeping prowess by saving a clear one-on-one chance from Angel, with Jeremy Blasco quickly reacting to force Enric to shoot over the crossbar. Jovanny Bolívar, Juanjo Nieto and Rafa Tresaco entered the pitch after 80 minutes, replacing Gerad Valentin, Hugo Vallejo, and Samu Obeng. They had to withstand pressure until the end of the five minutes of stoppage time, during which Huesca also had their chances to secure more than just a point that felt better for the Altoaragoneses.
